A review of Masons Arms by ANON written on Tuesday 19th of September 2006
Without trying to be to harsh, avoid the Masons Arms pub in Edgware if you fancy have a good, quick meal at lunch time.
Evening being the only customers asking for food and less than half a dozen people in the pub asking for drinks, it still took almost 30 min and an overheard comment by a member of staff of something someone in our group of six people had said to ask if we were waiting for food!
When eventually it was served, the chips on five of the meal were were hardly warm, salad which may have been part of the menu or maybe something to make it more 'attractive' - and failed miserably, was boring and unappetising (even just shredding the lettice might have been an improvement!.
The bar/waiting staff are not smartly dressed and I whilst I have no proof, I suspect that the kitchen staff don't bother to follow the catering rules of Health & Hygene (that is, no jewellery, hair covered, catering clothing worn).
If this had happened on just one occasion, it might have been thought to be unfortunate, however this kind of service has happened each and every time the place has been visited during the last 2 years..
