A review of Cafe Maroush Ltd by Anonymous written on Sunday 25th of July 2010
The food was great, but the first thing to arrive was one main course, which was cold by the time my wife's arrived. Just as we were finishing, the starter turned up... well, half of it arrived: the bread without the humous. The humous came when the pitta bread had had time to get nice and cold, too. I have seldom had a more awful restaurant experience, and I grew up in the West Midlands. Perhaps it's true what they say about Lebanon: it could have had the culture of the French and the hospitality of the desert, but ended up with the culture of the desert and the hospitality of the French. .
