A review of The Three Magpies by Adam Kirk Pruden written on Thursday 3rd of June 2010
My first visit to the Three Magpies was only because I happened to be in the area near Heathrow Airport. I was very pleasantly surprised by what I had stumbled upon. The Three Magpies offers good food at reasonable prices in an exceptional atmosphere. It may have been a limited time offer, but they even had several popular meal choices priced at 'two-for-one' which was a great treat...especially since in my case I was converting sluggish US dollars to hardier British pounds!
The Three Magpies Pub offers a number of tables outdoors to enjoy those rare sunny days as well as a fireplace that creates a comfortable scene when the weather is more suited for sipping a bitter indoors.
The staff are polite, helpful and enjoyable to chat with. I am not a well-known author (as of yet) but I was surprised and absolutely delighted when on my last visit the smiling young lady tending bar inquired about my first book "Relationslips".
Over the past few years I have made an effort to return whenever I have been in the area; oftentimes bringing along new friends from other parts of London as well as those recently arriving via nearby Heathrow.
I guarantee that I will continue to patronize, as well as highly recommend, the Three Magpies for great beer, grub and atmosphere.
Cheers!
Adam Kirk Pruden.
