A review of Drummond Villa by Peter Herring written on Saturday 27th of March 2010
Quite the worst Indian meal I have ever had. The veg dishes tasted as though a pinch of curry powder off the supermarket shelf had been sprinkled on them. The 'Madras' was half a dozen tiny pieces of chewy lamb floating in a vaguely spicy tomato sauce. They even managed to spoil the beer. It came out of a bottle but the glass tasted so strongly of washing up liquid I couldn't taste much else.
£6 for a main dish consisting of barely 50p of ingredients and desultory service is abominable. They don’t ask if you’ve enjoyed your meal because a) they don’t actually care and b) they already know the answer.
