A review of Lower Priory Farm Livery Yard by Evelyn Jacomb written on Saturday 9th of January 2010
My names Evelyn I learnt to ride at Lower Priory, they were some of the happiest days of my life. My first lesson was on Blaze. I can still remember most of the horses names, from Captain a big chestnut with a nasty habit of trying to grab you when you walked by his stable, down to little Jenny whose best friend was Sherry. In later years I put my mare Kizzy with Angela Angolds stallion Blue Ludo and got a beautiful liver foal just like his dad. My friend Mandy went on to buy a bay part arab from someone at lower priory in the late 70s early 80s named Rhondo which she stabled there, also a chstnut arab named Rakesh. I learnt to ride ther about 1958 when i was 6 and stayed till i was twelve. I hope it's still up and running and would like to thank Celia, Christine, Lesley and Dawn for teaching me to ride so well. I now ride at the Grapevine Canyon Ranch in Pearce south Arizona in the USA. Evelyn Jacomb (nee) Harrison..
