"Day's off work- and unable to get a routing appointment!"

I took a day off work, when I rang in the morning the lines were engaged, when I finally got through the morning appointments were all booked. I rang back in the afternoon, the only appointment was at 5.20pm when I would be doing the "school run". A whole day wasted and no appointment. I rang back the next afternoon- no appointments left. I'm not sure when I'm going to get the appointment, but I'll probably be escalated from "routine" to "emergency" before I do.....
