A review of Sandbrook Road Community Playgroup by Tim Linehan written on Tuesday 17th of November 2009
My daughter's been to Sandbrook for over a year now. She loves it and is now ready to move on. She's been really happy there, has had fun and learned a great deal. The emphasis is on play, and much of the activities are child-led. The playgroup is run by parents and staffed by professionals so you can have a say in how things are run. My son's three in February. He'll be starting there in January. I don't think he could be in better hands. The first 15 hours are free for children over three with fees paid for by the Nursery Education Fund. Most children just go for a morning or an afternoon session. Personally I like that - a whole day can get very tiring for small children in my view.
The playgroup takes children from two and three quarters, but you need to speak to the playgroup about fees.
