A review of Porkys Wine Bar by Wendy P written on Tuesday 17th of November 2009
Porkys winebar is still the place to go, whether your on holiday from abroad, or have the occaisional holiday off work. There is always a welcoming warmth to the place. Alas karokie on a monday is no more, but porkys still comes to life Tuesday to Sunday.
Tuesday night is still revival night & not so much of the regular stuff neither.
Wednesday is back to that old dating game with a touch of 2009, that use to be on a Sunday.
Thursday night is Cheezy nite, anything goes!!
Friday is more of an upfront night.
Saturday is party nite.
Sunday is more vocal.
With its friendly staff & clients what more could you ask for. Oh yes & it is still free majority of the nights with exception to some Saturdays.
When you do manage to pop down, dont forget to sample the chefs caribbean platter whilst sitting in the heated rear garden..
