"ADDRESS UNKNOWN"

I have on numerous occassion had mail returned 'Address Unknown'

I have again today received a returned letter Address Unknown intialed by WW or WN 28/10/09.

When I go to P.O. website and search on postcode the address comes up, so why does this happen so frequently please?.
