It was my boyfriends anniversary and I had decided I wanted us to do a couples photoshoot. After considering a few places I decided to pop into the double negative studios on plashet grove. The guy there was so friendly, he showed me the place where the photos would be taken, showed me some sample pictures, went through the price list and even gave me some great advice on what to bring with me. A couple of days later I phoned into book our shoot, the same person I'd spoken to 2 days earlier picked up the phone, he'd recognised me from my voice and was so friendly. He'd remembered my concerns about not being able to pose as this was my first shoot. He reassured me that it was just my job to turn up and that he would sort everything else out.

On the day of my shoot myself and my boyfriend anxiously arrived to the studio where we were welcomed by 2 men who would do our shoot. The men made us feel so at home. We'd gone through a little practise session - taking around 30 photos. After this we were sat down and shown the pictures. The men told us which ones were the best and gave us so much confidence. To be honest the pictures looked great!! I would of been happy with just those. The guys brought over props and different things - they were so imaginative!! They turned the set into something amazinnnggg!

The time in the sudio FLEW by. The shoot was meant to be an hour long but it went well over that. I had totally lost track of time. We weren't even told we had gone past our time till right at the end.

After the shoot we got to pick which pictures we wanted and were able to collect them the next day!

The man has our pictures and has told us that we can come back anytime to get some more pictures and get them put onto CD. My overall experience at doublenegative studios was fantastic.

If you go for bigger studios they do your make up and pamper you then often charge £70 per photo you want! I did my make up myself on the day. Not once during the shoot did I touch up my make up. I'm far from being an expert on make up but when the photos were edited every little bit of make up looked PERFECT. So my advice is that you dont need your make up to be done all fancy by make up artists. Now I've had such a good experience at doublenegative I would NEVER pay 70 pounds per photo just to get my make up and nails done. I bought 36 photos for £150 and the quality of the pictures were just as good, if not BETTER.

I am planning another visit to doublenegative next year and I'm already excited!.
