"The impossibility of getting through"

This morning I've tried for twenty minutes to get through to reception to make an appointment for a flu jab, without success. Luckily it is not an emergency. However, had it been one would you please let us know how best to get through to a human voice!

I would also say that the problem of getting through is a persistent one..
