A review of The Landseer by Converse written on Sunday 18th of October 2009
My companion and I munched delicious fish and poultry dishes in complete 'silence', that is we hardly exchanged a word. This was less because we were dumb-struck by the glory of the dishes than that we were quite unable to hear each other talk over the combination of piped music and the hullabaloo from the pub side. This must be something to do with the acoustics of the interior design, or perhaps it's because the regulars have become deafened by the noise and shout louder and louder. Never again. (If I were the chef, I'd be furious)..
