A review of Skipjacks by Plato jackson written on Friday 12th of January 2007
I have never found a review for Skipjack, and we entered with trepidation. It was certainly busy, and we waited at the door for ten miniutes before we were given a table. The service was frantic but lovely. The whole room was smling and looking at the steaming plates of fish that came out of the kitchen i knew why.
This place is about quality and offers fantastic value.I ordered cod fillet and out came this impressive tranche of fish. Having eaten at Londons famous J.Sheekeys the week before and ordered the same dish i was stunned by just how good this was.
I ordered some uncooked halibut to take with me for a dinner party the next night, and againthe quality was very impressive, much better than my local fishmonger.I now visit weekly. 10 out of 10..
