A review of Sudbourne Primary School by Linda Stevens written on Thursday 27th of August 2009
I attended Sudbourne Primary school from 1955-1957. My teacher in both third and fourth year was Mr Allen but we all called him Sir. He had the ability to make even the most boring subject interesting and was an excellent teacher. I missed him when I left for senior school.
During my time at the school, Mr Allen and some other teachers put on a Christmas show called Pantomimes Unlimited. It was a great hit with both the children and the parents who came to watch. I even remember the words of the spell evoked by the wizard (played by Norman Beckworth) It began: `Hocus Pocus Fee Fi Fo, Dirty Shirty Lah Tee Do...'
I would love to know if anyone else remembers the show, it was a lot of fun.
I used to live in Beatrice House one of the block of council flats in Hayter road..
