My only comment is, that my car once many,many years ago almost died on the A23 just yards away from the Pied Bull and as a result of a major radiator leak. I asked the barman if he could give me a bucket of water to get me to my destination. His reply was: "I would like to help, but if you want water there's a Watney's pub over the road" .
