A review of P J Pine & Son by Dave Williams written on Wednesday 13th of May 2009
I noticed PJ Pine when I was out jogging so I popped in quickly and spoke to Phil about getting my doors stripped.
I told Phil that our recently purchased house was built in the 30's and looked like they had the original 4 panel wooden doors.
I told him about my attempt at stripping a door using a hot air gun & discovered many thick layers of paint.
Phil said not only was doing it that way was slow hard work it was also dangerous, as old paint probably contained lead with released toxic fumes when heated.
I took 4 doors to Phil (much to my wifes horror when she got home from work)
As I was working lates I wasnt able to pick them up until a week later...and all I can say is WOW!!!
Phil gave me advice about sanding & waxing the doors so I took them home & rehung them, my wife was over the moon when she came home....and wanted to know when I was going to take the 5 remaining doors to Phil.
Phil overs a fantastic speedy service & his prices are very reasonable too.....he comes highly reccommended
