A review of Spirit Group Ltd by Morton R Joynes written on Wednesday 13th of May 2009
The invitation on your web site to contact you with regard to one’s experience of your pubs, service and so on has encouraged me to do just that.
Today whilst visiting Evesham, an employee of Karndean, a local manufacturer, recommended that we (four of us) visited the Strawberry Field for lunch, which we did.
Both my wife and myself had a tuna and mayo sandwich on brown bread and tea. My friends had a chicken wrap and a prawn wrap with a soft drink. I cannot speak for them entirely.
The bread which my wife and myself were served with was not only meagrely filled, but the bread was quite stale.
We had to suffer ‘artificial’ milk; our request for fresh milk was denied on the grounds that we would have to be charged for a milk-shake, and to supply fresh milk was against company edict.
My friend and myself visited the toilet at the end of the meal only to find that the odour was quite overpowering.
Mention of the above to whoever he was in charge resulted in a shrug and walk away.
I cannot believe that you encourage this standard, and I am of a mind to inform Karndean that it is not in order to suggest to their visitors that this is an establishment worthy of their recommendation.
A great pity as it is obvious that the investment is considerable, the result unworthy.
Yours faithfully
Morton R. Joynes
Needless to say, I have had no reply from this company..
