A review of Caffè Uno by Anonymous written on Thursday 16th of April 2009
The restaurant is nice but was empty at lunch time. I can see why. They don't really cater for lunch time trade. Starter, main course and dessert is all that is offered. It's pretty dear considering the standard of the food that I had. The Fiori restaurant around the corner was packed at the same time so it's not like there is no business - they do sandwiches, salads that have vegetables rather than just lettuce. My meal of calamari and a bread starter came to over £10 in Cafe Uno. It was too greasy and not enjoyable. I only ordered it as I did just want a quick snack and did not have time to go somewhere else. In the end my friend and I shared as we did not want to pay so much. I would have gone to the Fiori restaurant but they had no seats left. Sorry to not give a good review but it is a waste of money to have lunch there.
Hopefully the people who run Cafe Uno will start doing lunch time food there..
