In 1950 I began my career in the tea trade and remember delivering documents, as an office boy, to Wilson Smithett on the fourth floor of Plantation House in Fenchurch Street. After many years I became Vice President- Commodity Operations with Tetley Inc USA and was engaged in business with Wilson Smithett in several areas. Always honourable, straight, true to their word (in a business that depends upon a man's--or a women's word) the staff was always knowledgeable, helpful and ahead of the pack. I remember them fondly. Anyone considering business with Wilson Smithett can rest assured in their acumen and honesty..
