A review of Hounslow Citizens Advice Bureau by Anonymous written on Tuesday 24th of February 2009
CAB lack funding and cannot accomodate the demand on it. It is free for all. Not only for those eligible for legal help.
Since it is mainly relies on volunteers, they can give notice and take time off and leave whenever they want. Very limited rooms to interview therefore restrictions apply. As the manager and deputy are the only paid workers and the ones checking and making sure the right advice and informations is given cannot deal with more than a certain amount clients. They manage and train over 10 volunteers at a time.
However, if you do manage to get through the help and advice given is usually good and the best they can do.
I would not put them down and appreciate the work they are doing. Would you give yoru time to volunteer at the CAB?.
