"Dalston Mill Fabrics - Scam or not?"

I hate to disagree with the good Dr Gallivan - who is sort of right - but his comment doesn't give you the whole picture.

If you're looking to work from home and earn some money, you MUST read this

Dalston Mill Fabrics ( www.dalstonmillfabrics.co.uk tel: 0207 2494129 )is a totally legitimate business - and I've heard they are a very good small company specialising in fabrics. So if you want to buy fabrics, they may well be a good outfit to try.

BUT they are NOT a limited company and do not claim to be. That's why they don't appear on the Companies House website - as the good doctor discovered!

Here's the real story.....

There's a spam mail scam going round, quoting this company's address and offering what looks like a money laundering fraud - to receive money and keep a percentage of what is received. This could of course also be a phishing scam - so ignore this warning at your peril.....

The company names used in the scam may include Dove Fabrics Ltd, Dalston Fabrics Ltd or Dalston Mill Fabrics Ltd. There are similar scams around that quote the addresses and names of other legitimate businesses - like Millers Art shop in Glasgow.

If you respond to spam mail, then you don't deserve sympathy!!! Indeed, by responding to spam, you validate your own email address to the sender AND probably to many other spammers. But even worse, you promote the continuation of this horrendous abuse of the internet. If no-one took this junk seriously, it would very soon stop !!!
