A smart, modern restaurant in a very useful part of Earls Court, Slice offers modern British cooking in attractive surroundings. There are favourites galore on the menu, like prawn cocktail, steak with deep-fried mushrooms and onion rings, and profiteroles, but you’ll also find more exotic offerings, like nachos, chicken with ginger and lemongrass, and triple chocolate riot. It’s a relaxing, convivial atmosphere, perfect for after work with mates. The short wine list is nicely international and reasonably priced, and the service is fleet and friendly.

Starter
-Flat black mushrooms smothered in a garlic butter and finished with mozzarella cheese-Goats' cheese served on rye bread complimented with a honey drizzle and sun dried tomatoes
Main Course
-Char grilled rump steak cooked to perfection served with fresh seasonal vegetables and a choice between Diane and peppercorn sauce-Pan fried fillet of salmon covered in a delicate lemon butter dressing served with tarragon rice and a garden salad.
Dessert
-Home made chocolate mousse-Fresh fruit salad with a choice of cream or ice cream
