De Cecco
About De Cecco
Great atmosphere is never off the menu at this long-established Italian in Chelsea where the food and service are reminiscent of the best Italian restaurants of the 1970s and 80s. Our tip: you can’t go wrong with the
lobster spaghetti. People-watchers should ask for a window table overlooking the New Kings Road. Then again, you could always turn your attention inside and spot the odd Chelsea footie player or, if you’re in the industry, a big music cheese. If you live in Chelsea, Fulham or Putney don’t be surprised to fine yourself next to your neighbour, also having a jolly good time. De Cecco’s might be trendy, but as we said, it’s an informal venue where families are welcome (so yes, there’s a highchair). Frankly, it is simply charming.
