Nobu
About Nobu
When Nobu hit the London restaurant scene in the 1990’s it made such a splash that the ripples still haven’t come back to centre. As famous for celebrities shenanigans as for the food, Nobu is an outpost of a restaurant
empire stretching from LA to Miami to here. These days, you may still spot celebs at the next table in the modern, minimalist Japanese-inspired dining room overlooking Park Lane and leafy Hyde Park. But you’re more likely to be in the company of a smartish anonymous clientele enjoying dishes that are a combination of Japanese classics, like sushi and miso soup, plus Nobu’s
own very original combinations. We looove the prawn tempura roll. The wagyu beef curled up with its seasonings is lovely. The famous black cod in miso could transport you to another plane of enlightenment.
Enlightenment, however, doesn’t come cheap. The staff are fleet and friendly and there’s a very good range of sakes to sample.
