Situated, as if you didn't already know, on the unforgettable South Bank with some of the Capital's most famous landmarks in view, the National offers facilities for occasions of all kinds from product launches to birthday parties, business functions and receptions. Elegant private rooms, named after shining stars of stage - Gielgud, Richardson, Ashcroft - are on offer while areas including the mezzanine and Olivier stalls are also available to hire. The new al fresco Terrace meanwhile is a stunning setting in which to raise a glass and enjoy the National's own brand of modern European cuisine.

-Grilled whole lemon sole, with fried leek crushed potato & watercress butter sauce
-Corn fed chicken breast, with truffle mash, confit of mixed mushroom pancetta & madeira sauce
-Salmon fillet papillote, sealed in a foil envelope with chive new potatoes & Hollandaise sauce
-Bourbon Scotch rump with watercress, Tewkesbury mustard & fries
