The Dispensary - Pub
About The Dispensary - Pub
Located on the ground floor of this grand Victorian building in London’s east end, the Dispensary Pub is popular with media types, models and local scenesters for creative business lunches and after-work drinks. Originally built as a hospital to treat the poor in 1858, The Dispensary now feeds posh nosh to pretty people and has a superb British menu to boot. With high ceilings, wooden tables and brown leather chairs, the pub is decorated in down-to-earth rustic tones, and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. The Dispensary has a fantastic international wine list, and signature dishes include the baked camembert served with toasted ciabatta; the hand-made pie with mash; and the hot salt beef sandwich with chips.
