Located in a historic converted Docklands warehouse next to the Excel exhibition centre in London, China Palace is an exotic, cavernous restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine. The vast dining room, with exposed brick walls, is decorated with golden dragons and traditional Oriental paintings, and has an energetic cosmopolitan ambience. The menu features classic Chinese dishes such as shredded steak with asparagus in black pepper sauce; deep fried eel with honey sauce and black pepper; and fresh baked lobster with spicy Szechuan sauce. China Palace is ideal for lavish pre or post concert/exhibition meals, and its private dining rooms are installed with state of the art karaoke systems. The wine list is comprehensive, and offers 17 bottles for under £20.
