The Fox Club London
About The Fox Club London
The Fox Club just off Piccadilly is the former home of 18th-century courtesan Elisabeth Armistead. Elisabeth was, er, friendly with all manner of VIPs, eventually marrying one of them - statesman James Charles Fox. The Georgian Mayfair townhouse certainly makes for handsome love nest and - today - a members club, complete with luxury bedrooms, function rooms and an airy 'old world meets new' ground floor restaurant. Prints of Mr Fox adorn the fresh white walls, though the eye is first drawn to the gorgeous central chandelier. Confident, well-presented Modern European dishes are served from breakfast through to dinner when a gutsy gastro club menu of Spanish charcuterie, chargrilled rib-eye with hand-cut chips and béarnaise, and such like takes over. Member diners are typically businessmen, lords, ladies and other such country folk.
