Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square with Nelson's Monument at the centre of attraction, is bordered on the north side by the National Gallery, the architecture of which has received much criticism, the word "pepper. boxes" being given to the three towers of it. St. Martin's Church stands at the corner of the Square. Statues of Napier, Havelock and Gordon are erected in the Square, and two large fountains give a refreshing effect to the whole scene. It is one of the best known attractions in London.
