St Swithins Lane Near Cannon Street Station. st. Swithin's Church, near, contains the celebrated London Milestone, built in the wall; this was the central milestone, from which all distances were measured; it was originally fixed a short distance away. St. Swithin's Lane contains the Salters' Hall, also the counting. house of Baron Rothschild.
